Arca – “Sin Rumbo” Video

Arca had a big 2015, and his 2016 is shaping up to be equally busy. The London-via-Venezuela producer is hard at work on Reverie, the followup to last year’s Mutant, in addition to Björk’s new album, and he’s just shared a new track called “Sin Rumbo.” The spectral lurch features his own vocals and lyrics, […]

Jim James – “Everything (The Universe)” (Feat. Lydia Burrell) & GZA – “The Spark”

Earlier this week, NASA and Apple tapped a bunch of artists to record songs for NASA’s Juno mission. The mission to Jupiter entails sending a 66-foot long unmanned spacecraft 484 million miles from Earth, and this Monday it will reach the most critical point in its journey since launching in 2011 by hopefully successfully getting […]

R.L. Kelly – “Mad”

Two years ago, Orchid Tapes released Boring Ecstasy: The Bedroom Pop Of Orchid Tapes, a wonderful compilation of songs highlighting the introverted music that has become the New York-based label’s specialty. Stream Omni Deluxe

The Atlanta trio Omni includes ex-Deerhunter guitarist Frankie Broyles, as well as two former Carnivores. Together, they make skeletal, blissed-out postpunk that sometimes verges into new wave territory. They’ll release their debut album Deluxe next week, and we’ve already posted three of its songs: “Afterlife,” “Wire,” and “Wednesday Wedding.” Right now, you can stream the […]

Tycho – “Division”

Tycho is a couple of years removed from his fourth and most recent ambient post-rock epic, Awake, and it looks like he’s putting a close to that era. The San Francisco-based producer just shared a short documentary about the making of that album, and has posted his first new track in a while. “Division” is […]

Rachel Haden – “Little Dream” (Stereogum Premiere)

Last year Rachel Haden released The Luci Parade EP, her debut solo endeavor following a wide-spanning career as a founding member of both the Rentals and That Dog. The latter band reunited in 2011 and are currently working on their fourth studio album and first since 1997. In the meantime, Haden — who has also […]

The Bug – “Box” (Feat. D Double E)

For more than a decade, UK producer the Bug has built his name with intense, noisy, spartan productions that draw on genres like dancehall and grime, as well as things like instrumental noise and drone metal. (He linked up with experimental metal legends Earth for a 2014 collaborative single.) The Bug’s newest single is “Box,” […]

Towkio – “Tear Drop”

Savemoney is a versatile Chicago clique still steadily on the rise with the undeniable, jubilant ascension of Chance The Rapper, a maturing Vic Mensa, and the surprising Joey Purp all dropping collections of songs recently that range from solid to excellent. Even with all those colorful characters, Towkio probably has the most eclectic sound and […]
